The Alcomendas sisters returned to Remote Staff in the high times of the pandemic.
“I first joined Remote Staff in 2011 and worked with 2 part-time clients in a span of 10 months,” Aileen said.
“In July 2021, I reactivated my RS account and encouraged my 2 sisters to create their own accounts as well. Anabelle and Arianne got hired in August 2021, while I received a job offer in October 2021,” Aileen replied when asked how they were contracted in Remote Staff.
Aileen shared the opportunity with her sisters. And they were all accepted in the company, but catering to different client
“How did Remote work made an impact on your life?”
“I didn’t like the office politics, commuting (coz I have terrible motion sickness), and getting stuck in traffic. I have to wake up at 4 am to be at the office by 7 am and then clock out at 4 pm only to arrive at home by 7 or past 8 pm.” Aileen answered.
“Working from home removed all of those things, which allowed me to utilize my time for more productive things – especially when I transitioned to becoming a wife and mom. I did not miss any of my kid’s milestones and I don’t have to leave them to a nanny to take care of them. I can be a hands-on mom and work at the same time,” Aileen elaborated.

“Remote work allowed me to pursue opportunities that are not normally available in the traditional corporate set-up. It continues to allow me to work on passion projects outside of work,” Anabelle added.
What if you have other passions outside of your work? Do you still have time for that? Well, Anabelled found the right vehicle so that she can work on her passion projects as well
“Calmer mornings and a sense of stability, career-wise. Less source of unnecessary work toxicity and you save a lot of energy that could be spent on other important things because of RS’ efficient management and system. Been working online for 11 years, and this is the first time I really felt what work-life balance is.” Arianne explained.

Going Back to the Office
“Yung youngest namin si Mark sya lang ang nagwowork sa corporate pero kinoconvince namin na mag freelance nalang since naka wfm setup narin naman sya for the last 2 years.”
[Only our youngest, Mark, is working in corporate. And we’re convincing him to do freelance because, well, he was working from home for the last 2 years anyway.]
“Malapit na kasi sila bumalik sa office parang ayaw nya na haha”
