Who doesn’t like remote working? You can work from home or anywhere with just a stable internet connection and your trusty laptop. Most love it for sure!
But sometimes, you just want to lounge in a café and work more productively.
Tough luck, though. If you’re in the Philippines, a stable internet connection isn’t always guaranteed. Your pocket WiFi might not be enough, especially if you’re working outside.
Worry not. If you’re looking for cafés with reliable WiFi in Manila where you can work remotely.
Commune Café + Bar
According to the dictionary, a commune is “a group of people living together and sharing everything they own.” True to the word, you feel a sense of community in this Commune Café + Bar in Poblacion, Makati.
Try out their wide variety of Coffee, Rice Bowls, Pasta, and more. And they also have events lined up for different interests.
Appreciate the minimalist interiors and fast internet while working in Commune Café + Bar.
High Grounds Café
High Grounds Café allows you to: “Dine. Coffee. Surf.” in Quezon City. And not in a beach kind of way — unless you’re surfing the net for your next beach getaway.
Known as a café for gamers, High Grounds Café offers ultra-fast WiFi where you can play or, you guessed it, work remotely.
The interiors are aesthetically pleasing and they also have areas with specced-up gaming PCs and lounge areas where you can enjoy reliable internet with good food.
Sérendipité
Looking for a place to chill? Well, Sérendipité in Loyola Heights, Quezon City should be right up your alley.
Sérendipité has that minimalist Japandi interior straight out of Pinterest. Enjoy a concoction of artisan drinks with some good food while working here. And yes, they have free WiFi as well!
Coffee Project
Finish your online projects while dining at Coffee Project. They offer a wide variety of drinks and entrées.
You can get inspired by their beautifully designed fixtures. It’s one of my favourite places when looking for a spark of creativity. You can get free Wi-FI access with every purchase.
Also, Coffee Project has multiple branches across the country. As of writing, they have over 50 branches. And you can expect each one to have the same artful ambience.
Shangri-La Lobby Lounge
If you want something bougie, the Shangri-La lobby lounge might be for you. Enter the lounge and enjoy your own spacious and semi-private space.
You can even work while a pianist, or sometimes, a musical ensemble serenading you in the background.
But how’s the internet? I tell you it’s blazing fast. What else can you expect from a 5-star hotel?
You can visit EDSA Shangri-la or Shangri-la the Fort when you’re in Manila.
